Mirabeau and NYCHA Resilience projects funded through HUD’s NDRC Competition

A project of the City of New Orleans, the Mirabeau Water Garden has has been awarded substantial funding of CDBG-DR funds through HUD’s National Disaster Resilience Competition. FutureProof developed the initial concept designs for Mirabeau as part of the Urban Water Plan team, led by Waggonner and Ball Architects. FutureProof also did the calculations and initial concept designs, with partners Parker Rodriguez and STR, for the New York City Housing Authority’s Resilience Strategy. The Manhattan portion of this initiative was also awarded through the NDRC competition. These applications were among 13 chosen out of 67 municipalities who competed for funding. Congratulations to all the participants on these teams!
